Because we value the relationships we have with our customers, I’d like to share a bit about us as we get to know a bit more about you.

I was born and raised in Southern California until I was 13 when our family moved to Maceo Brazil for two years. We then returned to our family and friends in Palos Verdes California for 6 months. We were off again for two years in Buenos Aries Argentina. I valued both of those experiences but as we know there is nothing better than the grand USA. After graduating from Palos Verdes High School I attended Harbor Junior College. From there it was off to the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany spending most of our days in the Tonkin Gulf, Vietnam. Once again, I value the experience I had working with my shipmates and getting to know the people and the different culture in the ports we visited. After my commitment to the Navy I couldn’t get back to college fast enough and graduated from Long Beach University. My goal was to coach and teach biology.

This is when my world changed. There wasn’t a demand for new teachers at the time so continuing on with my studies for another year to get my teaching credentials was a big concern. While trying to decide my path forward I got a call from my uncle, a State Farm agent. As they say the rest is history. The decision was made. I was offered the opportunity to become an agent in the Santa Barbara area.

Jan and I decided to start our new life here in Goleta. So with our daughter Tammy and son Keith we were off to start our agency in this wonderful place we call home. Jan and I built a very successful agency achieving the highest awards in State Farm while serving our customers with their insurance needs and being there to help when things go wrong. Part of our success is having great team members like our office manager Krista. Her dedication to our agency and desire to help others has meant so much over the many years she has been with us. We are now looking forward to helping people manage the risks of everyday life and recover from the unexpected.
